Festive Feeling…

December 20, 2019

What a lovely end to our term!

To celebrate the end of our RE topic this term, we enjoyed a beautiful visit to Churchill Chapel where we sang carols and listened to the Nativity story.

In English, we were focusing on our Year 2 common exception words and practicing our editing skills.  In Maths we had a variety of Maths challenges that helped us to think collaboratively and problem solve. We also got creative designing and creating a variety of festive crafts.

Kind request…

  • After the holidays, we will be exploring a text called ‘The Jar of Happiness’. Please could every child bring in a jar (e.g. jam jar) on the first day back to prepare for this.
  • Please could we ask you to also bring in wrapping paper tubes, plastic bottles with lids, tissue boxes and card that children can cut for our playful enquiry sessions (just a couple of items per child please). Thank you!

Year 2, we are SO proud of you all. You have worked so hard and deserve a well earned rest! Enjoy feasting, family time and having lots of fun!

See you in 2020!
