A Midsummer Night’s Dream…

November 8, 2019

Wow what a week!!! We have absolutely LOVED being immersed in all things Midsummer Nights Dream themed! It has been a true celebration of the arts.

As much of the play is set in a forest, we used this to inspire us for our music sessions. We had some magical moments sitting mindfully in the forest and listening to all the sounds.

We then created rhythm squares to recreate the sounds of the forest, performing them in groups to the rest of the class.

We enjoyed some super Art sessions with Mrs Smith creating fairies and woodland scenes…

We wrote some rather funny love letters from Titania to Bottom after she had fallen in love with him, describing his fabulous donkey features…

Coming up next week…

On Tuesday 12th November, please can your child come to school wearing odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique as part of anti-bullying week.

Next Friday 15th November it is also Children in Need day. Children are welcome to bring in donations for this throughout the week.

Wishing  you all a very happy weekend.
