If you want to go far, go together…

July 6, 2018

The teamwork that has taken place over this week has been AMAZING. In English, we have been writing and performing poems about teamwork.

Some of us have even attempted to put the poem to this piece of music… https://safeshare.tv/my/safeviews/ss5b3633bfadd34/play

In Maths we have been solving all-possibility problems…

In topic the teamwork hasn’t stopped. Look at this model of Eddington! Can you spot our school?

We have also had some fantastic visitors coming to school this week. We got the pleasure of meeting (and some of us even racing against!) Jonnie Peacock, who has won gold twice at the Paralympic Games. We were inspired by his message of running our own race and not comparing ourselves to others.

We also learned about how shadows are created through a fantastic shadow play of ‘Peter and the Wolf’. Children – can you remember the three things that we need to create shadows?

Next week…

  • Comic strips in English and problem solving in Maths.
  • SRE lessons. Thanks to those who came to our information session on Wednesday. For those who weren’t able to come, feel free to take a look at the PowerPoint from this session…SRE Year 2
  • Family Friday 8.30-9.15. As usual, please allow us a few minutes to register and settle the children before coming into class. We look forward to welcoming you!

A reminder that our Key Stage 1 trip is taking place on Monday 16th July. If you haven’t already handed your form in, please do so by Monday 9th. Many thanks.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
